Join the fastest growing, hottest membership driven theatre in the center of it all and actually make serious money for a focused, but small time commitment. The more your produce, the more you earn. Free tickets. Additional perks mentioned in interview for qualified candidates. Call (212) 787.8302 ext. 206 or email Noel Hattem at nhattem@2st.com. E-mailed resumes highly preferred.

Each summer, Second Stage welcomes over a dozen high school and college students to learn more about the theatre. The program has several components:

HANDS-ON LEARNING:
Based on the interest of the student and needs of the theatre, each student is placed in a specific department within the theatre. They will have a departmental mentor who will oversee their work. Student Leadership Forum (SLF) participants work in the following departments: marketing, company management, general management, literary and production. Prior experience is not necessary though some computer skills are essential.

FORUM:
Each week, participants meet with a guest speaker to learn more about the craft of theatre. Past speakers have included professional directors, playwrights, composers and designers.

Q!:
SLF participants are split into teams to read and discuss scripts for our upcoming productions. Under the guidance of Second Stage's Directing Fellows, they write creative and critical responses to the texts. Their writing becomes a key component of Q!, our study guides written by students, for students.
